Posted by Terence Yung in Travel, tags: China, Lhasa, Tibet - 401 viewsNorbulingka 罗布林卡, the summar palace for the 7th, 8th, 13th and 14th Dalai Lama. It is actually a huge park with 4 palaces for each Dalai Lama located around the park and also a zoo which used to keep pets given to the Dalai Lama.
The entrance ticket costs RMB 60 per person.
Can’t take pictures inside the building. There’s a throne inside, and there was a robe wrapped in a triangle manner placed on top of the throne. It symbolizes that the owner’s spirit.
The current 14th Dalai Lama, went into exile through this exit.
Also cannot take picture inside. This is the grandest of all summer palaces in Norbulingka. There are also items used by the 14th Dalai Lama kept inside here. There several rooms inside, his bedroom, meditation room, bathroom with bathtub and toilet bowl (looks quite modern) and also a throne with his robe on top of it.
